We're proud to announce a generous £500 donation from Stourbridge Rotary Club, that will fund vital equipment to support young deaf swimmers — including nine-year-old Ted York, a rising star who recently made his competitive debut with GB Deaf Swimming Club. Ted, who was born deaf and received cochlear implants at 18 months old, holds an S15 classification for swimmers with hearing impairments. We had a fantastic evening earlier this month celebrating all of our wonderful swimmers achievements at this years club championships! Over 170 members of our swimming community and their families attended the evening at Luxor Events, where everyone enjoyed a disco, fish and chip dinner, awards ceremony and raffle. Thanks to all of the fantastic swimmers who came along to this year's SToRMFORCE meet at WV Active Central, in Wolverhampton. Over 300 swimmers took part in the event across two days, challenging themselves, representing their clubs and achieving new personal best times, swimming a range of strokes and distances. Please help us raise funds! We are really pleased to announce that Stourbridge Swimming Club has been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts (blue coin) Scheme. We will feature in Stourbridge Tesco from October to mid January plus a few smaller local Tesco stores (Oldswinford, Audnam and Lye). This weekend club members and their families have enjoyed a brilliant afternoon at Cliff Lakes, Tamworth. Organised by the social committee, over 50 swimmers and their families took on the Aqua Park and much fun was had by all.
